Finally reaching a long-promised goal, Apple Maps had shifted to web browser version, entering its public beta. Users from all around the world can now benefit from the mapping service without leaving their favorite browsers. The new change introduced a plethora of features to smoothen user experience and improve functionality.

Apple Maps Major Feature and Updates:

  • Travel directions and receive accurate routes and travel time estimates traveling by both car and on foot.
  • Detailed place information for learn about the venue’s operating hours, photos, ratings, and reviews by other visitors.
  • Actionable interface to order food to your address directly from the Maps interface.
  • Curated guides for check out other users guides to their favorite spots when traveling.

Apple Maps Upcoming features:

At the moment, web Apple Maps is available in English. Current web app allows users to open their favorite maps and tabs in the link and seeing special pins in indoor and airport maps, listen to voice guidance, see the weather and air quality information near saved places. It is compatible with Safari and Chrome on Mac and iPad, on Windows PCs—Chrome and Edge. On Windows PCs, Apple Maps opens in a new window, so access to bookmarks, and smart search from Safari is needed for this purpose. Exciting new features like including Look Around, will be introduced in the coming months, further enhancing the Apple Maps web experience.
